When someone sends me an invitation, how am I notified?

Introduction

When someone asks you for an opinion, assessment, or revision, you can be notified in a number of ways:

  • Immediately by receiving a SMS message sent to your phone
  • By going to your Dashboard and checking either:
    • Your messages; or
    • Your Expert Dashboard
  • By email

Setting up Notifications

To take advantage of this facility:

  1. Go into your profile and edit it.
  2. Look for "Notifications settings" section and expand it.
  3. Enable how you want to be notified.
  4. Save the results.
  5. Click on the "Mobile settings" tab.   
  6. You will be asked for your mobile phone number and your phone carrier.
  7. Click the "Confirm number" button.
  8. A test message will be sent to your phone with a 4 digit verification number. 
  9. Enter the verify number into the form field provided.
  10. If you have entered the correct verify number, you are all set to go.
  11. If you did not get a message or entered the wrong phone number, click on the "Delete & start over" button.

After this, any invitation or notification from EntreBahn will be sent to you on all the media you have selected.
