C.A.R.E. Criteria

Introduction

The C.A.R.E. criteria are used when evaluating an assessment:

  • Clear — The assessment must be clearly written and understandable
  • Applicable — The assessment must generally be applicable to this type of submission
  • Relevant — The assessment must be relevant to this specific submission. Generic comments fall under the Applicable criteria.
  • Executable — The assessment must contain advice on what to do next and perhaps how to do it. That is, the client should be able to act on the advice in a meaningful way given their resources.

There may also be additional evaluation criteria, depending on the type of submission assessment.
